We are all kin

Page fretted in a Baptist Press column that battling bloggers frighten off "lost souls and new believers." He wrote, "Lost people are seeing the deep division and sometimes hatred that is flowing forth among churches and among those who are involved in convention discussions. For Christ's sake, stop!"
Southern Baptist leader Frank Page as quoted by USAToday

I have witnessed this "division and hatred" first hand and it scares me... we are fighting the wrong enemy. Consider again what John wrote in his first letter:
If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
1st John 4:20

We need stop all the harsh, severe, ungracious, sarcastic commentary and seek to disagree in a patient, graceful and [dare I say] loving manner. We don't have to agree... and we shouldn't be false in pretending to agree > we just have to do it in a different way... a way that's not of the world. We are all kin > let's act like it!
