Picked this shirt up before Christmas '08 for £10 at TKMaxx. I'm a sucker for Star Wars memorabilia and I love the retro vector graphics of this "Chunk" tee... reminds me of the original arcade games.

Today's etsy find is Blytheking's shop featuring some sweet cases/sleeves that are handmade in vintage fabric for all your geeky needs - iPhone, iPod, Blackberry, Laptop & Moleskine; I like. My personal fave is this iPhone sleeve.



psfk.com is another go-to site and their feature on David Bergman's 1,474 megapixel panorama for Obama's inauguration is simply awesome.

The NYTimes has more on the impossible project as does Coolhunting. I really want this project to succeed.



Loving me some Lykke Li and think her song I'm good, I'm gone is simply brilliant.



I am intrigued by World of Goo and am seriously tempted to pick it up for the Wii. It just looks so good.

Olly found some knock knock jokes last night... and thought I'd share them too. You just never know when you'll need a good knock knock joke.



As a family we watched Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium and absolutely loved it. If you haven't seen it... check it out... its a wonder to watch... and Natalie Portman is superb (and gorgeous).

Now for something completely different... I had a cool conversation with everyone's favourite freerange follower-of-Jesus TruckerFrank about food he had been given because their packaging had been damaged. Wastage to one person... is fine food to someone else. It reminded me of the Freegan movement and got me thinking of opportunities for Frank to redistribute excess food. Thing is... he's already one step ahead and already doing it. Good one, Frank!

Whilst I am in the house... recouperating... I'm going to try and catalogue/document some of my t-shirts. Bit vain, I know, but I have hundreds and I intend to rediscover ones I have forgotten about.

So here's #1 - my Sigur Ros tour tee. Saw them live in Glasgow in November '08 with a cool colleague of mine. Awesome night. Great music and brilliant company. Good times!

First off we have a video from Greg Laswell that includes everyone's favourite Hobbit - Elijah Wood. Great song. Great choreography. Thanks to hello francis.



Next we have the World of Goo soundtrack from Kyle Gabler - I haven't played the game... but was inspired by the way the creator of the game has compiled the soundtrack and given it away for free... as added content for fans. Nice touch. The music is charming... ripe for turning into ringtones!



The last of the notcot links is for something I am really interested in :: the impossible project :: their mission...

We aim to re-start production of analog INTEGRAL FILM for vintage Polaroid cameras in 2010. We have acquired Polaroid's old equipment, factory and seek your support.

It inspires me for the following reasons ::

1. they are fans of polaroid doing something other than stockpiling film... they are doing something for their wider community! Its a fans for fans thing.
2. I've never used a polaroid and thought I might never get a chance... this gives me hope.

Nice! Kudos to everyone at the project for doing something about it!



Next up is a sweet wee find from etsy - a wooden iPhone / iPod Touch holder. Nice for watching movies or for recharging at night... would make a fab display for the Flipclock.



Still on an iPhone tip... infectious.com do fab vinyl sticker artwork for iPhones, laptops, your walls and even your car. I like the idea of having a matching iPhone and MacBook sticker thing going on... especially something like this by JP33 which has a matching laptop sticker. Awesome!

It would be cool if you could get matching wallpapers for the screens too... but then you'd miss out on this ::



Gemma Correll's wallpaper for Kitsune Noir is just lovely. The project seems to just get better and better... and Gemma's work is inspiring in its details.

I love the idea of the DWP and wish I could replicate the idea with a hint of bergamot - make some of the pics available as wallpaper for laptops, netbooks, iPhones, Blackberries, PSPs etc. Its something I am going to work on, me thinks, while I am off.



Lastly, we have the artwork of David Wierzbicki :: his skate deck is awesome... and his illustration of DJ Shadow is first class. Going to be watching his career with great interest! Follow him on twitter and be inspired.

There is a gathering of emerging church peeps this Saturday at 2pm in the Starbucks in Borders at The Fort. Chris Goan is making it happen. Unfortunately, due to my surgery I wont be there... but I hope my local folks who read this can make it.

Just wanted to say...

I'm off to get my gallbladder out. I will be admitted tomorrow at 10am... and will be in for an overnight. I doubt I'll be back on the ol' nanolog for a few days. I also doubt I'll be on Twitter or Facebook... but you never know. I'll see if I can sneak out for a wee social media fix now and again... that is... if I'm not mashed out my face. I don't do anesthetic particularly well.

Before I go... please allow me to say...



For all the support, love and kindness that you've shown to me with your cards, tweets, emails, texts and facebook messages.

I also want to single out my pal Stewart aka Studgie who has lent me his original iPhone to enable me to watch some films when in Hospital and afterwards. I've loaded JAWS, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and HEIMA, to name but a few... and I am grateful for his favour. I don't have any room on my iPhone or my 80gig iPod... crazy, huh?

So anyway... that's me... I'll be back soon without a gallbladder but, unfortunately, without the stones - the Hospital wont give me them...
