C'mon Espanyol!!!
Glasgow was invaded today by noisy Spaniards... and it was an amazing atmosphere to experience. I work in the Merchant City area of Glasgow... and we were home for RCD Espanyol de Barcelona. I have never seen / heard the Merchant Square so busy and vibrant. Live music... DJs... Songs from the fans... Fantastic.
What impressed me more, however, was the good nature of the fans. Nothing unhealthy with their rivalry. Classy is probably the best word to describe them.
I went over to George Square to see the Sevilla Fútbol Club fan area... and it was similarly jumping. Just a shame that its been raining on and off all day... but hey... that means they get the true Glasgow experience.
Glasgow has excelled herself as a neutral venue... Here's to the Commonwealth Games in 2014.

I was well impressed with how professional the game was played. What a demonstration of the beautiful game! Fab!
