November's wallpaper was taken at Chatelherault Country Park in Hamilton, Scotland; it's on the path towards the Green Bridge (walking anti-clockwise). It is a lovely walk and utterly delightful when enjoyed with great company ... for me, it was my family.

August 2014's Calendar / Wallpaper

I recently bought a Canon EOS 70d body. It is an early birthday gift, split between my wife and my parents. The intention was to get something I couldn't normally afford, something that I could use.

And boy do I want to use this camera ... its a cracker! I love it already.

I've been shooting Nikon for a while but wanted to use the lenses I had for my Canon 350d. The 70d takes my photography to the next level ... or, should I say, it has the potential to take my photography to the next level ... I need to rise to the occasion and use the 70d as extensively as I have my Nikon.

I have chosen a photo that I couldn't have taken before. It was shot in the evening ... with a shutter speed of 1/8000 of a second and an ISO of 6,400.

June 2014's Wallpaper

The wallpaper for June 2014 was taken during our Easter break, when we went to view the Burrell Collection in Glasgow. Not only does the building contain some stunning artwork, it is beautiful to look at too ... a stunning piece of modern architecture. The wallpaper is attempt at capturing the gist of this Glaswegian landmark.

February 2014's Calendar / Wallpaper

As you've probably gathered, I've been pretty much housebound for the month of January ... struck down with pertussis aka whooping cough. As such, I haven't had any real chance to take a photo for February's Calendar / Wallpaper.

We have a couple of feeders beside the living room window and I've been entertained with numerous Tits: Blue ... Grey ... and Coal Tits have kept me company. This is to remember my wee friends.

January 2014's wallpaper

My wee netlabel - weareallghosts - recently released an end of year compilation entitled "...ending the year on a high 2013 (waag_com002)".

The album features a photo of the soloist - Fraser Thomson - taken at the Community Carol Service that Airdrie Salvation Army hosted at Airdrie Town Hall on the 15th December. I love the photo due to the bokeh and the otherworldliness of Fraser ... and thought I would use it as this month's wallpaper.

October's wallpaper features a photo I took at Glasgow's Botanical Gardens on Saturday morning. I took it using my iPhone5's panorama feature then sized the various photos in Photoshop. As such, they are all slightly different.

September 2013's calendar / wallpaper

I haven't uploaded the photos I took back in the first week in August when Olly and I visited the small Scottish village of Culross. We had a great time and I'm not really sure why I haven't posted them ... I think they maybe a bit blurred.

Anyway, the Palace in Culross is awesome and its garden is particularly special ... it is Scotland at her best. This photo was taken from the garden and was suggested by Olly.

The photo that adorn's April's calendar / wallpaper was taken when I went to photograph Olly and her sister Caroline and brother-in-law Daniel whilst they were recording their debut CD.
