My fav memory of George (yes, we are on first name terms ^___^) was his session work on the seminal album ((LA is my lady)) with Frank Sinatra and Quincy Jones... His guitar work is amazing and there is a fab photo of him with his headphones on with the headband over his forehead so as not to hurt his 'fro.Technorati Tags: george benson
Had a fab time tonight at "SNAC" ((Sunday Night After Church))... there were a number of new faces, some who hadn't been to the church before or at least for a while.
We had a very relaxed time of worship, meditation and fellowship... with "the red and blue pill scene" from the Matrix used to demonstrate our choices in this life. "Grace" by U2 was also effectively employed as a call to prayer and thought.
BLOC were, as always, good... with some new songs too... even though we couldn't use the drums (long story). Capt Alec was on form with a very poigniant thought on choice.
Afterwards, I was approached by one of our divisional leaders-to-be (aka our "bishops") and asked to be part of a new-expression-of-church/community planting team. Not sure exactly when or what it will involve... but Olly and I are getting ready for the next step. We do understand things will get blurred and a wee bit messy but we are up for the challenge.

Here's an interesting concept :: ((cambrian house)) offer something new for community involvement - Idea generation and software development. Basically, you offer up ideas for software/webspaces and these ideas are put to a public (within Cambrian) vote... the ideas that are deemed successful are then developed by the collective's community of software elves in a way referred to as "crowdsourcing"... who get royalties for their involvement if it goes to market.Technorati Tags: T in the Park

Been getting some sweet coverage from friends who I keep in touch with through their blogs, email, and sometimes face2face:...compulsive Scots blogger & barometer of coolness . We have so many things in common it's spooky, but that has yet to be properly explored: Bellshill connection, Greenock memories, music stuff, appreciation of the Lard, Roots, books..very very weird.Barometer of coolness...and very, very weird. Next off is my eMate from Kidderminster, Andy from ((live a big life)) :: we keep in touch and he was a great help with an issue I had recently on the ol' nanolog...I love the way it darts from music to luggage to fashion to gadgets and then BAM, right out of left-field comes a deeply profound post that just stops you in your tracks and makes you sit up and think, and think hard.Thanks bro...
Lastly, we have my brother's brother who is technically my bro too... ((ssoosay.com)) :: his blog is a myriad of off-the-wall imagery and personal insight.
