Seven questions... with Dylan Leeds

  1. Who are you and what do you do?
    My name is
Dylan Leeds. I'm a motion graphics artist and an electronic experience maker.
  2. What are you working on at the moment?
I'm constantly working on 2D/3D animations for commercial use, and creating new musical explorations in my free time.
  3. Who inspires you?
On the music front, I'm heavily inspired by experimental beat makers, such as Mount Kimbie, Burial, James Blake, and Helios. The Oregon Coast has served as a great source of inspiration and spiritual relaxation. I'm inspired by everyday objects that produce unexpected sounds.
  4. What drives you to do what you do?
Passion and my giddy anticipation of that creative endorphin high.
  5. What values do you wish your creativity to express?I always hope there's an emotional response to my creations. Whether that be raw active energy, mystery, or sentimental sombreness.
  6. What role does community play in what you do?
The community keeps me engaged and enthusiastic. It's a great motivator for me to involve myself in collaborative projects.
  7. What is next for what you do?
Continued creativity and expansion of my skills and experience.
