The Emerging Church

I finally found Larson & Osborne's seminal classic-to-me The Emerging Church on Amazon.com (unsuccessfully looked on Amazon.co.uk). Its a used copy that I needed shipped to the UK from the States - $1.80 for the book and $9.69 in postage. I can't wait.

For those who want to know more about the book, check out Dan Kimball's Vintage Faith blog or check out Our Daily Blog

One more thing... You may be wondering why a book written 36 years ago has such a cult following... well you need to check out Our Daily Blog everyday for a challenging and inspirational quote selected by the tallskinnykiwi aka Andrew Jones. Here's todays:
"In the Emerging Church, due emphasis will be placed on both theological rootage and contemporary experience, on celebration in worship and involvement in social concerns, on faith and feeling, the personal and the conceptual."
Wow!

Hey man,

Thanks for the comment as well. I've been really getting into emerging church issues lately. Right now I am reading The Hidden Power of Electronic Culture: How Media Shapes Faith, the Gospel, and Church by Shane Hipps. It was recommended by Tony Jones (theoblogy.blogspot.com), who I get to meet next weekend!
