Apple have gone all Bose on us and brought out a top-of-the-range hi-fi - it looks pretty sweet and, without a doubt, it will sound fab... feel for all the 3rd parties in the "iPod economy" who have been done over...I was born a child of graceU2 - Lyrics: Bono
Nothing else about the place
Everything was ugly but your beautiful face
And it left me no illusion
I saw you in the curve of the moon
In the shadow cast across my room
You heard me in my tune
When I just heard confusion
All because of you
All because of you
All because of you
I am... I am
I like the sound of my own voice
I didn't give anyone else a choice
An intellectual tortoise
Racing with your bullet train
Some people get squashed crossing the tracks
Some people got high rises on their backs
I'm not broke but you can see the cracks
You can make me perfect again
All because of you
All because of you
All because of you
I am... I am
I'm alive
I'm being born
I just arrived, I'm at the door
Of the place I started out from
And I want back inside
All because of you
All because of you
All because of you
I am
FROM: MRS FATOU N NSAKKAONLY $4million?!?
324 RUE MEWAY, TRESHVILLE
COTE D'IVOIRE.
Hello Friend,
I know you will be surprised to read from me,but please consider this letter as a request from a family in dare need of assistance.Firstly, I must introduce myself, I am Mrs. MRS .FATOU N NSAKKA.from Cote D'ivoire.
I am the wife of late Brigadier Badou N Nsakka, My husband was a Brigadier incharge of arms ammunitions procurement in the Cote D'ivoire army. In his "Will",he specifically drew my attention to US$20 Million which he deposited in a safe box of a private Security Company in Lome Togo Africa, as a treasure box, fully documented in our first son's name (Mr.Savimbi Nsakka). IN FACT MY HUSBAND SAID AND I QUOTE:"My beloved son, I wish to draw your attention to US$20million(Twenty- Million United States Dollars). I deposited the box containing the fund in a private Security Company in The Rep Of Lome Togo
Before the coup d'etat that took place in our country,I was very dedicated and committed to be promoted to the post of personal assistance to the president against until when I found out that senior army officers and top government functionaries were busy helping themselves with government funds and properties and sending them to foreign countries".Due to this when I was assigned by the President (President Henry Konan BEDIE) to purchase arms from South Africa, I saw this as a golden opportunity and diverted the fund for my personal use.
In case of my absence on each as a result of death only, you should solicit for the transfer of the fund out of this shore for investment purposes. From the above, you will understand that the lives and future of my family depends on this fund, as such I will be grateful if you can assist my son who is in Lome Togo for now as an asylum seeker, and the financial laws and gulations of the Republic of Lome Togo do not permit an asylum seeker to operate in a bank or invest.
In view of this, I can not invest this fund in Lome Togo, hence I have contacted you ,am prepared to offer you 20% of the total fund, and 80% will be for my family. Finally, modalities on how the transfer will be done will be conveyed to you once we have established trust and confidence between ourselves.
Please treat this matter as very urgent.
I await for your urgent response.Cheers and God bless you.
Mrs Fatou Nsakka/Kenneth Nsakka,

Nigo's a bathing ape empire has an official website: BAPE(dot)com However, instead of surfing the site, you download it. Everything is represented - Apesounds/ BAPE Cuts/ BAPEsta trainers etc.
It was great to hook up with PS on Friday... When we were chewing the fat he showed me his Shuffle which has a fab sticker from Shufflesome. He then told me about the "iPray" sticker (above) that his dad has on his shuffle. How cool is that??? Check them out: Link

When missionary E. Stanley Jones met with Mahatma Ghandi and asked him, "Mr. Ghandi, though you quote the words of Christ often, why is it that you appear to so adamantly reject becoming his follower?"Personal challenge... Am I like my Christ?
And Ghandi replied, "Oh, I don't reject your Christ. I love your Christ. It's just that so many of you Christians are so unlike your Christ."
This morning at church, Alec spoke about acceptance AND inclusion. Basically, we need to follow Jesus' lead and accept people where they are now and not accept them in anticipation of what they may/ will become. He developed Andrea's thought from last week and included inclusion into the mix. Its not enough to accept people for who/ what they are... we need to get involved in their lives. This really meant something to me and allowed me to reflect on my present experience. This blog has, in my view, been accepted by a lot of people as representing a "whole-of-me" view of me... I would have never done this if I didn't feel the support and acceptance in doing it. It has opened doors to conversations on things like my faith that I never would have had. Your acceptance of my whole-of-life view and, to be honest, my own acceptance has allowed me to open up and include all my friends in all my life. I am free to talk about any part of my life to anyone and that is a tremendous liberty that I will not waste.Passing along, Jesus saw a man at his work collecting taxes. His name was Matthew. Jesus said, "Come along with me." Matthew stood up and followed him.Matthew 9:9-13 (The Message)
Later when Jesus was eating supper at Matthew's house with his close followers, a lot of disreputable characters came and joined them. When the Pharisees saw him keeping this kind of company, they had a fit, and lit into Jesus' followers. "What kind of example is this from your Teacher, acting cozy with crooks and riff-raff?"
Jesus, overhearing, shot back, "Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? Go figure out what this Scripture means: "I'm after mercy, not religion.' I'm here to invite outsiders, not coddle insiders."
The EM [emerging movement] is a post-evangelical group of young Christians who are doing what they can to get the church back in line with the kingdom vision of Jesus. My suggestion is that we listen and learn what the Spirit is saying to the church. This is what I want my experience to be - what I am as much as what I say.
The reason I make this suggestion is that I cannot think of any denomination in the world more in tune with the heart of the EM: a missional gospel that seeks to live out the gospel in such a way that evangelism is what the church “is” as much as what the church “says.”
Massive Attack have a fab microsite for their collected compilations (think there will be 3 CDs of MA goodness)... Check it out: http://www.massiveattack.co.uk/collected/

The band I saw with the Soos, PS & Dunc - the Ruffness - have a really well designed web presence: http://www.ruffness.com/ where you can buy their CDs and T-Shirts, sample some of their tunage and gaze in awe at some of their posters. Love this band - Soos, what do you think? could they become our new "Broadcast"?All I did was put spirit and business together in that big mixing bowl and add love. I didn't care about anything but people. Just cherish them, look after them, and be sensitive to them and their lives.Isaac Tigrett

"Teacher, which command in God's Law is the most important?"Pretty powerful and yet so simple.
Jesus said, ""Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.' This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: "Love others as well as you love yourself.' These two commands are pegs; everything in God's Law and the Prophets hangs from them."
Some sweet but silly street art from Monsieur A - check his stuff out: link
Here's a heads-up to a really cool blog - simplice(dot)net... Nuno Barreto is a Christian, computer geek, Mac user, nature lover (mostly birds), Japan lover, compulsive reader, pacifist, and a revolutionary by nature... Pretty link-minded with the ol' Headphonaught. His blog is split into categories: church/ tech/ ornithology (that's birdwatching to you and me... feathered birds!!!)/ Japan/ and Books. Worthy read - show him some support.

A big g'on yersel goes out to one of my top ten favourite artists - Nitin Sawhney. He won the "Boundary Crossing" category for his fab album "Philtre". "Beyond Skin" is in my top ten favs and "Philtre" moving up in my love.
Disappointed to see M.I.A. didn't win the "Club Global" category but glad she got the coverage that "Arular" deserves.

The boffins at Macworld want to give your Mac a wee tune-up with 34 software speedups... iPhoto is always kind of slow for Olly and me... Maybe this will help?Turn Off Shadows By default: iPhoto adds a drop shadow to each photo in browse mode. On Macs with slower processors or graphics cards, the extra processing required to display those shadows can slow things down. To turn off the shadows, choose iPhoto: Preferences, click on the Appearance button in the toolbar, and deselect the Drop Shadow option. If you rock the Mac and I know my Dad, the Soos, Roberto, Janey, M and now Big Leader Boydster do... Check this out and give it a go: Link

Thanks to the Coolhunter for the heads-up on this... Geodesic Domes... I like the idea that these domes are portable and can be, relatively straight forwardly, assembled. Its like Tent Ministry from back in the day but with an unique, contemporary and utterly modern feel... Imagine the application for emerging churches... non-permanent structures that can adapt and move literally with the times. I think there may be mileage in this...
I have posted before about my love for Rhodia notepads... well... over in the Land of the Rising Sun you can get sweet cases designed especially for Rhodia notebooks. How cool is that? My fav is the Rocky Mountain DPM case (top).
I really like the Landrover Discovery... especially with the optional extra attachable tent. One for the festivals? Sweet.
I know I should be all anti-Google as a result of their approach to China and I am still unhappy with that... but I do like their winter logos celebrating the winter Olympics. Check them all out here: Link
Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent, is next Wednesday, 1st March. I don't normally do Lent but I want to follow it this year... Why? because I want to experience the kind of fasting that my Lord experienced... I want to walk closer with Him.Jesus told us that when we fast (not if) we are not to make a show of it, like hypocrites do. A fast is different from a hunger strike: a fast is a personal act of devotion to God, while a hunger strike is a public act most often used to shine a spotlight on injustice. A fast is also different from anorexia nervosa: it is disciplined diet, not total abstention from food. During a religious fast, you still eat, you just abstain from certain foodstuffs. Traditionally, people have fasted by eliminating luxury items from their diets, such as meats. You could have a fast that consists of eating whatever you want, but drinking only water. Orthodox Christians recognize five levels of fasting:Taken from: http://www.kencollins.com/holy-04.htm which I found to be useful reference for explaining Lent.
* Abstaining from meat
* Abstaining from meat, eggs, milk, butter, and cheese
* Abstaining from meat, eggs, milk, butter, cheese, and fish
* Abstaining from meat, eggs, milk, butter, cheese, fish, oil, and wine
* Abstaining from all foods and beverages except bread, water, juices, honey, and nuts.
Note that the fifth and strictest level describes John the Baptizer’s diet, and it is may very well have been the fast that Jesus undertook for forty days in the wilderness. (Christians reenact this retreat during Lent.)
To fast, just omit an item or two from your diet—something that you would normally eat during the course of the day. Every time you get an appetite for those items, you will be reminded of your fast and that will remind you of the reason for your fast, and you can pray instead of eating. This can have immense spiritual benefit. You are simply using your belly as a spiritual snooze-alarm.

Don't really do ties anymore... work is a wee bit more relaxed - khakis/ shirts/ Clarks/ jumpers... but the way my work is going I may need to get back in the Tie Game (oi... not that kind of tie game!!!).
