Designer of the Year

The final four have been announced for the Designer of the Year comp... Jamie Hewlett for the Gorillaz, a school in Sri Lanka designed by Architecture for Humanity, the revamped Guardian newspaper and a copper shade by Tom Dixon. What a choice! I like the Gorillaz and love Jamie's visuals... but I also love the whole concept that surrounds the work undertaken by Architecture for Humanity. I do read the Guardian and do believe its revamp differentiated it from the crowd but then again Tom Dixon's copper shade is equisite. Hmm...

While you are at the Design Museum site - check out the section they have devoted to Jonathan Ive and his work with Apple. Lovely. Link
