I have a secret :: I am a fan of...

We all have our secrets and this is one of mine... I am a fan of Little House on the Praire. Sure it ain't cool in some circles... just as the sound of music isn't cool... but who cares? I love to watch reruns of the show... in fact we have a box set of the 1st season in the house... and just love the Ingalls family.

Watch this...

Sure its old fashioned... and not really representative of the multicultural salad bowl that we all know today... but it does teach about community and doing our bit for friendship... and that's the kind of thing that needs to be taught.

So yeah... there you go... anybody else want to admit any secrets... preferably related to TV, films or music??? Anyone..?

I love 1970s cop shows and my PVR regularly records The Sweeney, The Professionals, The Rockford Files and Starsky & Hutch whenever I find them on. I also love Minder...

As a young boy I 'fancied' the older sister in Little House.

I'll also watch any American cop show and particularly love Ellery Queen Who dunnit. They gave you a chance to solve the mystery before Ellery went over all the clues with the audience...fantastic.

But my real secret love is ballet. This despite the opulence and decandence,the distinct class divide, the uninclusiveness of it and the absolutely awful acting of the extras. I'm not even sure I agree with the public subsidy it receives although I would generally champion money for the arts.

I love the athleticism, the live orchestra, the sets, costume and attention to detail (although I've only get to experience it from high up above and about a mile away from the stage)

C'mon Stewart... share a secret.

Hmm... Rob... all these shows have awesome cars... and you are such a petrolhead... so not sure they are really secrets. C'mon... confession is good for the soul :-)

Darrin... thats what I am talking about... BALLET... now thats a secret. Thanks for sharing. Personally I like to consider Chinese kung-fu films (Crouching Tiger etc) as a form of ballet... the movement is so beautiful. Agree with point on subsidies... but then I am for all art being subsidised to some extent. Thank you!
