One of the surprises in Roots06 for me was the prominent place artistic expression and interpretation had. This wasn't fringe but an integral part of worship in the Big Top.
I don't know the names of the chap and lassie who did the visuals but I thought they were fantastic! Interpreting the worship and talk in pictures so vividly.
Paula left a comment earlier about her struggle trying to incorporate art into worship and I don't have an answer... I do have an example :: a precedent :: to point to though...
We need art in church... we need to use the God-given creative talent as a way of expressing our love and our thankfulness.
What made this more meaningful was that the art was auctioned for this year's charity :: Watershed
